Marco Corbo is well known in Edmonton's music scene and has been recognized by the Edmonton Sun as one of Edmonton's Top Emerging Artists. Following commercial radio success with his band, Marco recorded an intimate acoustic album in 2014. Enlisting the help of keyboardist Rami Jaffee (Foo Fighters, Wallflowers), guitarist Joel Shearer (Alanis Morissette), and long-time bandmate and friend Jeremy Kornel, the album again had commercial radio success, particularly the title track Love on the Radio, receiving radio play in Canada and the United States.
Marco is back in the studio with Rami and Joel recording his new album Basement Sessions. The first single Just One Kiss was released in 2020 and climbed up to #9 on the Canadian Indie Country Countdown. The second single Through My Eyes reached #5 on the Canadian Indie Country Countdown, and is currently #3 on the Country Thunder Network International chart, and #7 on the Canadian Online Radio chart.
Basement Sessions is Marco's first true solo album. Unlike previous releases, where he worked with other band members; with Basement Sessions he was able to really put himself out there, in the music. Basement Sessions is Marco Corbo raw, vulnerable and emotionally free. Basement Sessions is available wherever you go to get your music.
Marco has played several festivals, including the Beaumont Blues and Roots Festival and the Firefly Music Festival. He is looking forward to completing and releasing the rest of Basement Sessions and playing many shows and festivals when it is once again safe to do so.
